Week 21

Healed as we go 

Hola a todos!! 

I hope you all have had an AWESOME week! Everything here is awesome - we're halfway through the cambio and we're seeing so many miracles every day! 

For today's scripture, I want to share a quote with you! 

"Once we make a covenant with God, we leave neutral ground forever. God will not abandon His relationship with those who have forged such a bond with Him. In fact, all those who have made a covenant with God have access to a special kind of love and mercy" - President Nelson, Oct 2022, The Everlasting Covenant

Lunes ~ Last Maule pday 

~ ZONE PDAYYYY in conti today!!! It was so so so fun. I was laughing so hard the whole time haha, I love spending time with these people! Especially adventuring with them here! 

Martes ~ Pure love of Christ 

~ I had zero motivation to get up this morning haha but the Lord gave me the strength as I went 

~ Had a lesson with Matilda today - it was so good! She is just progressing so much. Not even a month ago we knocked on her door for the first time and she told us that she doesn't really believe in God…and now she's getting ready to be baptized! Today she showed us her new sticky notes she bought to mark up her Book of Mormon. And she has such a light about her now. Jesus has changed her. I was not prepared for how much I was going to love the people here - I am going to remember this girl forever. 

Miércoles ~ Healing power of Christ 

~ Did a butt ton of referencias today and it was super good!! 

~ We had a MIRACLE today - we visited an inactive member and got to support her in all the things she's been going through. She told us about what's been holding her back from going to church, and we got to sit with her in it. She's going through cancer treatments right now and it's been super hard on her. It's cool watching her find the support she needs in Jesus Christ and in His people 

Jueves ~ Testificando de corazón 

~ This morning was NOT it lol - I was in a super weird mood but once we got out and talking to people I felt better! There's something really special about testifying of Christ in your hard moments - it's like it has more power because what I preach is actually for me too! 

~ Clase de inglés was a success  We've been having a lot of people recently! 

Viernes ~ Familias pueden ser eternas

~ CONFERENCIA DE ZONAAAA 

Wow, the Spirit was so present. And I just love being able to connect with and uplift these other missionaries. It's so special!

Sábado ~ La puerta está abierto 

~ SANDRA AND RICHARD GOT BAPTIZED!!!!! 

Such a happy day. I was lowkey stressed with everything we had to do haha but afterwards there was a moment of fresh air and peace, as I saw each of them go up to get confirmed and receive the Holy Ghost. And wow, they were glowing! 

~ I got us blocked on WhatsApp again while doing references  Its always on Saturday! The enemy is working hard to prevent us from doing the work. But we've just seen God providing for us again and again! 

Domingo ~ Changing trajectories 

~ Only had 2 friends in church today, but it was still just so good! 

~ Visited Matilda this afternoon! She's so elect. She's gonna have her baptismal interview tomorrow!!! 

~ It's finally getting cold here!!! I'm so excited!!! 

 Spiritual Thought 

"And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities. Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless...the Son of God suffereth." Alma 7:11-13

Jesus came to give us immortality and eternal life. And that's exactly what He did! He died for our sins, and was resurrected to overcome physical death. Because of Him, we will all be resurrected and we can be forgiven and cleansed of all our mistakes! But He, having a perfect, eternal, compassionate love for us, chose to go even further with His atonement. 

He did not need to suffer our pains...and yet, He chose to. He chose to put Himself in YOUR shoes and feel everything that YOU feel. He chose to not only extend His hand and lift you up, but to also go down and experience the pain with you. He is not just watching over you, watching you hurt and comforting you while you go through it all. He literally enters the suffering with you and endures it by your side.

You will never have a finer, closer Friend than Jesus Christ. He is right there beside you, I promise. I invite you all to pray - today - and express your gratitude and all the other feelings of your heart to your Father. And I promise that Jesus Christ will be there too. You will feel His love and compassion for you, and He will plead your cause. Because He knows you - truly knows you - and He loves you more than anything or anyone else. You are His favorite. 

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
