Week 5

Hola from the CCM!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! This week was really good. Something I'm especially grateful for this week is of course my family (because they're genuinely everything God knew I would need. I love them with my everything!) and the opportunity I have to be a missionary. It's the greatest opportunity I will ever have in my life. And I am so grateful!

Here's my week!

Viernes - Las familias son para siempre ðŸ’—
~ Went to the temple again!!! It was the most beautiful experience. We got to do sealings for our families, and it was so tenderly precious to me. There were ANGELS SURROUNDING us in that room. 
I believed before that families were eternal, but I testify to you today that I now know. Jesus Christ gave me the opportunity to be with my family for time and all eternity. 

Sábado - Buscar a este Jesús <3
~ Nothing too out of the ordinary happened today, but it was a really good day! 
~ The CCM held a tour this afternoon, it was really funny. All the kids were so excited to see all the missionaries. The adults were taking pictures of our group of North Americans because they were genuinely FASCINATED by us ðŸ˜… It felt like I was back at JMU when they were giving college tours haha! 

Domingo - Forget yourself and love like Christ
~ Church today was so good!! The talks were amazing. Also, the bread here in Peru is genuinely DIVINE, and I swear it makes the sacrament a more spiritual experience every Sunday ðŸ˜‚
~ My comp got really sick today (along with my whole district lol). But it's teaching me a lot about having patience and charity for the people around me, and it's giving me sooooo many opportunities to serve others! They kept saying that I'm going to be a good mom one day (best compliment ever) ❤️

Lunes - His reflection 
~ Not too much out of the blue today! All the days are kind of blurring together haha. But I love it so so much! 
~ My district is the best. We're all so close and so unified. They call us “the miracle district” because we technically were supposed to be combined with the other gringo district, and my companions weren't even supposed to be in the Peru MTC. But just a couple days before, they changed all the plans and put us all in the same district. And it's just so perfect! I found my Savior in these people. ❤️

Martes - Lord, I believe
~ CCM devotional!!! 
~ The BEST district meeting afterwards. The Spirit was so strong. We each went around and talked about who Jesus is to us personally. 
To whoever is reading this, I want you to know that Jesus is YOUR very personal Savior. He did not suffer generally. He suffered YOUR pains, specifically. All because He loves you and He wants to help you! 

Miércoles - God takes care of His children! 
~ Beautiful sunset today! 
~ A new district of gringos came in tonight, and we found out that there's only one hermana (she doesn't have a comp). But then, at 1am, this hermana walks into our room (because apparently we're roommates now??) and we find out that Herman Dominique KNOWS this girl, and has gone to FSY with her for FOUR SUMMERS. This girl is also from the Caribbean and Hna Dominique was able to comfort her and help her settle in. God takes care of His children! Where He sends us, He goes with us! 

Jueves - GRATITUDE IS EVERYTHING 
~ The CCM cooked a whole Thanksgiving meal for us! It was so good. It was like a little piece of home for me. 
~ Got to talk to all my cousins and extended family today! It was so good to see everyone!

Week 12 - My very own Sacred Grove Holaaaaa!!!  This week was SUPER AWESOME! Fun fact: I've officially completed my first cambio!!! And we have some exciting news here in La Florida (drum roll  ) ... WEEK 1 - I'M A MISSIONARY!!!!

Hi everyone!!! Hermana Bryleigh Geary here. :) As of this Sunday, I am officially a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!!! I have been called to serve in Rancagua, Chile, and I'm so excited to we lcome you all to my weekly emails! Each week, I will send out updates, pictures, and spiritual thoughts so you all can stay up to date on what I'm up to as I serve as a missionary in Chile! Gringos and chocolate milk ¡Hola todo!  I hope you are all doing  fantastic  this week! Thank you so much to those of you who reached to me throughout the week - it truly made me so happy! I am trying my best to respond to everyone, but know that even if I don't respond to you, I promise I  did  read and cherish your message. I love hearing from you all so much!!!  This week was so fast and so slow at the same time.
