Week 35

Hey yall! 

A lot of you have been messaging because I haven't sent out an email in a hot minute... And I'm sorryyy!  Things have been super busy. This is the email I wrote last week (I finished writing it at 6:01pm) 

I also sent another one out earlier today taking about what happened this week! I love you and I ADORE your messages, even if I don't always have time to respond  

Last week:

Lunes ~ DANTEEEEE  

~ ZONE PDAYYYY! 

It was genuinely the best pday - we had breakfast together and watched Coco, then went on a hike to the Cruz in Machalí, then did a fire and made smores

~ Our gas tank in our house ran out this morning so we weren't able to shower or cook anything until Tuesday afternoon  

Martes ~ “Porque no entiendes nuestro idioma?”  

~ It was SO COLD today  

But honestly I'm soaking it all up, I love the winter haha

~ We found a partial member family today! They're super awesome and the mom (an inactive member) wants to come to church on Sunday with them! 

Miércoles ~ Diamonds & rubies… 

~ We're doing a zone reto right now to see how many LDM we can give out - we've actually seen a good amount of success with it! 

~ We had ENTREVISTASSSS with President today!! It was really tender and honestly just so sweet. The Crumps are just so awesome and have been such a big support for me in the mission. I'm certain that we as missionaries are called by God, of course to the people that we teach, but also to our mission leaders.  

~ I'm a little nervous about cambios - I honestly have no idea if I'm going to leave or not. We did a whitewash train into this sector, so honestly anything can happen haha. I'll keep yall updated! 

Jueves ~ Poder de la oración 

~ Did a bunch of referencias today, found some really cool people! 

~ Kind of a normal day, not much happened hahaha

Viernes ~ Broken phone screen > no hype

~ We had some really good lessons today! 

One of them was with a grey point family that had Fechas in the past - we read the Book of Mormon together and they gave some really good thoughts. It's a mom and her kids, and they told us that they all want to start coming to church every Sunday and having lessons with the missionaries again! It was so fun honestly and a cool milagro! 

~ We have a Book of Mormon reto going in our zone to see how many LDM we can give out before zone council. The goal is to give out 100 as a zone before Tuesday  

Sábado ~ Miracles because it looks impossible 

~ Had another baller lesson with Francisca (the lo of the partial member fam we found on Tuesday). She has a lot of really deep questions haha but it was cool because the Spirit truly just gave us all the words! I had ideas and things I learned from my personal studies come to my mind randomly in the moment - God was defenitely pulling me through haha! But she's super cool and super open to learning!

~ The family from yesterday sent us a message and said that while they all still really want to come to church and progress towards baptism again, the dad is catholic and doesn't want them to have anything to do with the church  But hey! One day the righteous desires of their hearts will be realized! He is a God of miracles! 

Domingo ~ Priesthood is REAL. 

~ Nobody came to church today :(

Serving in Machalí has been my absolute FAVORITE but honestly it has also been quite the trial of faith haha! But God has been working in other ways than we thought

~ Hna Martin gave a fire talk today! The obispado messaged us at 9pm on Saturday night and asked her to fill in for the person that was going to speak hahaha. But she killed it! It was so powerful! 

 Spiritual Thought  

"When we speak of those who are instruments in the hand of God, we are reminded that not all angels are from the other side of the veil. Some of them we walk with and talk with—here, now, every day. Indeed, heaven never seems closer than when we see the love of God manifested in the kindness and devotion of people so good and so pure that angelic is the only word that comes to mind." - Elder Holland 

I invite you all to think of one of the angels in your life. Send them a message. Tell them you love them. Thank them for who they are and what they've done in your life. I promise that you will feel even more gratitude for all the wonderful people and blessings you have, and you will feel closer to Jesus Christ too!
