Week 13
Manso Maule & the Mighty CRM
Buenas tardes a todos!!
These week has been crazy and awesome and busy and slow alllll at the same time. GOD IS MOVING here in the Chile Rancagua Mission! The Talca zone split into two this week - so I'm now part of the Maule zone!!! And we've seen so many miracles everywhere recently!
Scripture of the Week
"It is not of myself that I know these things; but behold, I know that these things are true because the Lord God has made them known unto me, therefore I testify." HelamΓ‘n 7:29

~ Went to the feria in centro today! I got a fΓΊtbol jersey and a mate cup

~ Said our goodbyes to the missionaries that are leaving
Martes ~ Bringing the flow to Chile

~ Had a crazy awesome and crazy hectic day today! THE NEW HERMANAS GOT HERE!!! Since they're opening a new area, they still didn't have WhatsApp or PME (without those they literally can't do anything haha) so we decided to do a mini blitz/intercambio!
~ I was with Hermana Woodley today and it was SO GOOD! I was leading the area again, which was super fun. She asked me about what missionary work was like back in Virginia, and I told her about the flow (basically a little outline the VRM missionaries used to start up gospel conversations naturally and personally). She told me that I should try it here in Chile…and I did! And it was SO GOOD!!! We found 6 new people in just a few hours! And they're all super cool!
MiΓ©rcoles ~ MVP & feeling like a grandma

~ We already met our goal for the week with all of our ICs!

~ Had another lesson with Juana today. She's so amazing! Her faith is so beautiful and she's working so hard!
~ Super fun Noche de Juegos! Playing fΓΊtbol with them is always chaotic haha. All the kids were impressed that I could do a rainbow

~ I was absolutely ZONKED today. Earlier we were reading scriptures out loud in Spanish… and I swear I was trying so hard but I literally was falling asleep WHILE READING it out loud
I went to bed at 9:50 lol
I went to bed at 9:50 lolJueves ~ Run, Forrest, run

~ Absolutely CRAZY day. Filled to the brim with things to do. We were running everywhereee haha. We didn't even have time for a bathroom break all day…the night ended with us legit SPRINTING to the church because we had to use the bathroom so bad
It was a really good day!!! We saw so many miracles!
It was a really good day!!! We saw so many miracles! ~ The other missionaries are starting to use the VA strategy of inviting everyone to church - and they're seeing a lot of success!!! It's kinda cool!!!
~ I'm not quite sure why, but the Spirit was so tenderly close to me today. I felt angels round about me. I felt Jesus walking beside me. I feel like I gained another witness for myself that what we teach is true - all of us truly are sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.

Viernes ~ Patient with myself, patient with the Atonement

~ We're speaking Spanish all the time now since Hermana Figueroa doesn't know English, and honestly sometimes it's kinda hard for me to connect with people in Spanish. But I'm learning, little by little! I just need to learn to not get frustrated haha
~ One of the kids we’re teaching was laughing at me so hard today because I came into English class with sweat stains

~ The Hermana leaders (who we did intercambios with on Tuesday) are doing a huge push on public contacting this transfer! And I'm so DOWN!!! The VRM is coming in clutch. Things are obviously a lot different here in Chile but the gospel is the same everywhere. And it's cool to use the skills I know to be able to give something new to this area!
SΓ‘bado ~ Ay mi gatito
~ JULIAN DID HIS BAPTISMAL INTERVIEW!!!!

He asked to make a TikTok with us afterwards…go look at my Google photos

~ Our bishop texted us at 5pm today and told us that we're each giving a 10 minute talk in church tomorrow morning
~ There was a bike race going through the middle of town today - it was so fun to watch! They had the whole main street closed down and there were a bunch of little tents and pop-up stores. It was cute! It looked like a super hype feria
Domingo ~ Convert > baptism
~ The weather is weird here. It's weird because we're so used to it being super duper hot, so when it gets down to the mid-70s we're cold

~ We found 19 people this week! And our mission hit the RECORD HIGH of number of people ever found in one week!! Crazy!!!
~ Gave a talk in church today! It was honestly really tender. I just talked about the atonement of Jesus Christ and shared a little bit of my story. My companion said that the bishop started crying. The majority of the people there were either converts or our friends visiting the church, so it was honestly so tender to be up there and to see all their faces. It's like I could see their stories from up on that stand.

Spiritual Thought
In a general conference talk, President Nelson told a story about how he introduced an African Tribal King to the Book of Mormon. The king said, “You could have given me diamonds or rubies, but nothing is more precious to me than this additional knowledge about the Lord Jesus Christ.”
The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It's a companion scripture to the Bible - it expands and clarifies on all the wonderful, eternal truths that we find in the Old & New Testament. With these scriptures, we can find all the answers to our questions, understand God's plan for us, and embrace the fullness of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.
Whether you've read the Book of Mormon a hundred times or this is your first time even hearing about it, I have an invitation for you!
This is an invitation that was given to the missionaries here about a year ago, and I just think it's so wonderful!
But first, I have a question for you:
If you could ask God ONE question, and He'd give you the answer, what question would you choose?
Now, the invitation:
Take that question and pray to find an answer. Then, spend some time reading the Book of Mormon.
I promise, as a set apart missionary with authority from Jesus Christ , that you will find your answer. Any problem, any question, any experience, or any need that you may have will be fufilled, comforted, and answered through the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is contained fully in the Book of Mormon. I've seen this so many times in my own life, and I continue to experience it, and I know that it's a promise for you too.
If you want to learn more or need help finding a place to start, I'm here! Reach out and I would love to help you!

And here's a link to the talk that President Nelson gave!
In the name of Jesus Christ, amen!
I'm so proud of all of you! You're amazing and are inspirations to me! Thank you for telling me about your wonderful experiences and how things are going for you. You've got this because God's got you!
Have a great week!
~ Hermana Geary
