Week 18

Places of Eternal Impact 

BUENOS DÍASSSSS    

I hope you all are doing super well! We've had another crazy week here, with so many miracles and so many opportunities to walk with Jesus. We also got transfer news this week...but more on that later!  

First, let's turn our minds to our Savior! 

 Scripture of the week  

"He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth; which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ." DyC 88:6-7

Let's get into it   

Lunes ~ Día de descanso  

~ PDAY PDAY PDAYYY

Just spent most of the time packing haha. Went shopping in centro with the Hermanas and got VENEZUELAN FOOODDDD with our district    

Martes ~ Toda la eternidad  

~ EDUARDO IS ON FECHAAA    

Eduardo is the son of Sandra, our other friend on date for baptism. He's super cool! In the first five minutes of our first lesson with him, he told us he is gonna get baptized with his mom - he basically put himself on date!  Super sweet kid. ETERNAL FAMILIES HERE WE COME    

~ My Spanish has NOT been Spanish-ing this week  But that's ok, God gets His message across either way  

Miércoles ~ He knows your face  

~ Consejo de Zona!!

It was actually so so good. The zone leaders showed a clip from a talk by Elder Eyring and it was soooooo good. The Spirit filled the room. We have some big goals and bigger animo in our zone!!  

~ Hna Bryner is having a hard day today  We took a minute after lunch to just sit together and cry. Sometimes that's just what you need!  

~ A member from the other barrio came out with us today - SHE'S AMAZING! She's putting in her mission papers soon. She has such a strong testimony and we saw MIRACLES when she was with us! 

~ Had once with our friend Cesar - he was so excited! He and his sister had been preparing and waiting all day for us to visit them! 

ANSO AULE !!!!!!!       

Jueves ~  This is only see you later  

~ Josefa came with us today!! She told us about a really cool experience she had at PFJ - she didn't want to serve a mission before, but after praying about it at PFJ, she realized that it was what God had in store for her! She's awesome and will make an incredible missionary one day  

~ Had once with Millaray…and it was so bittersweet. Hermana Bryner is leaving this area so it was kind of her goodbye to them. The Spirit was so strong too! I am so proud of Millaray and all she has become. She is amazing!

Viernes ~ Bougie ahh departamento  

~ MOVE DAYYYY

The Lord BLESSED us with a cool, 75 degree day. We would've died otherwise haha. We moved into our new apartment and it's so much nicer than our last one!! The only thing is that we don't have AC in this one (yet). It took all day, but we were still able to go to English class and noche de juegos, which was super successful!  

Sábado ~ Perfectamente imperfecto

~ Last normal day before cambios! We get transfer news tomorrow morning  

~ Had a really good call with all the Hermanas in the mission this morning  We truly do have our own little family here! 

~ Hna Bryner got a call from Presidente during lunch today…she's going to be an Hermana leader!!! WOOP WOOP!!!   

Domingo ~ A donde me mandes, iré

~ Got transfer news!! I'm staying in La Florida   My new companion is going to be THE INCREDIBLE HERMANA VARGAS!!!! I’m super excited. She's latina (so we’ll be speaking Spanish all the time ) and I've heard that she's just the best ever!! I can't wait to meet her!! 

~ Hermana Bryner said her last goodbyes to everyone at church today  She's going up north to Machalí to be an STL for the Rancagua zone! I'm gonna miss her, but it's where the Lord needs us! 

 Spiritual Thought 

"God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in him there is no variableness neither shadow of changing." Mormón 9:9

This life is a life of movement. Everything is always changing - jobs, houses, people, bodies, friends, companions, age, talents, passions, circumstances, relationships...the list goes on and on. But through all the changes I've experienced in my life, especially over the past few years, I've learned that there is only ONE thing that never changes, that always stays the same: Jesus Christ.

He is our Rock, Anchor, and Constant. Though everything in life is always moving and changing, including ourselves, we can put our trust in Him, knowing that He is the same today as He was yesterday, and that He'll be the same tomorrow too.

He is unceasingly, eternally good to us. He loves us eternally. He helps us eternally. He comforts us eternally. He stands by our side eternally. 

So whatever changes you're going through right now, know that it's okay! Things are meant to change. You are meant to change. That's why we're here! But in all the chaos of all the movement of life, we can rest peacefully in knowing that we have our Savior, who never changes, to be an anchor for our souls - firm and secure.  

I promise that you will see this truth come to life as you seek to draw closer to God and apply the teachings of Jesus Christ to your individual circumstances. God is aware of you - He knows you, He loves you, and He never changes!
