Week 10
Holaaaa!! This week was short but JAM-PACKED full of fun moments, rapid growth, and experiences with Jesus
If you want to see pictures or videos, join my Google photos album!!!

As always, let's start off with a scripture!
Scripture of the Week
"Nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted. My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep. He hath filled me with his love, even unto the consuming of my flesh." 2 Nephi 4:19-21
Here's the update! The spiritual thought this week is really really important to me - so make sure to check it out!

~ We had the BESSSTTTT day today! We went to Conti (a beach on the west coastline of our mission) and it was so fun! It was so beautiful too. Mountains surrounding us, fog, big trees, waves, dolphins… go look at Google photos to see!
~ Tried mate for the first time! It was really good actually! One of our Argentinian Hermanas made it for me. They also gave us breakfast which was so awesome!!!
~ We were ZONKED after today. Our whole district slept the whole 2 hour bus ride home haha. We also all definitely got sunburnt pretty bad

SΓ‘bado - Forget yourself and JUST HAVE JOY!!!
~ Today was just so filled with joy! So many contacts (I love street contacting so much more than door knocking haha) and so many opportunities to bear my testimony. The mission is hard sometimes, but I am just in awe of it, and honestly gut-wrenched that I only get to do this for 15 ½ more months

~ It's been a little crazy here with everything going on in Venezuela…we're hoping and praying super hard because we have a ton of Venezuelan friends and converts who are being affected by all of it. But it's been chill! The members and other people here are super nice about it and we haven't had any issues or anything!
~ Starting to see tiny bits of progression in my Spanish. It's hard to measure my growth in the language but I'm getting better day by day!
~ GOD LOVES ALL OF HIS CHILDREN IN EVERY PART OF THE WORLD!!!!
Domingo - Big backed & the restoration
~ It was kinda chilly today! POR FINNNN!!!

~ Had the most Spirit-filled lesson I've ever experienced on the mission. More details later

~ Fasting on the mission hits a little different lol. I was SOOOO hungry after church today, I even asked for seconds at almuerzo (if you ask for seconds, they give you more food than the first serving and it covers the entire plate. And you have to eat it all
)
)This is precious. And I'm zonked

Spiritual Thought
This week, I want to tell you a story. Yesterday, we had a lesson with one of our new friends. He was a reference from some of the elders in our mission, and he's been through a lot of really really hard things lately. In our meeting, we taught him about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And of course every lesson is different, but this particular one was so especially individual and personal for him. I felt so calm. Peace filled the room. After we shared the first vision account, we felt prompted by the Spirit to pause in the middle of the lesson and just take a few minutes to think. To listen to the Spirit and just let ourselves feel. And that's what we did. We sat in the silence. Truly, it felt like the celestial room in the temple. It felt like the presence of God. After a few minutes passed by, our friend told us that he feels like he has hope in his life now, and that he knows what he needs to do to grow closer to God. He said he always feels hope return when we come to visit him.
To whoever is reading this, I want you to know that this gospel is for YOU. Jesus did not suffer generally. He suffered personally and specifically for you. He knows how you feel. It was hard for Him too. He suffered, bled, and died thousands of years ago so that YOU would have the strength and hope you need in this very moment. His atonement was solely for you. His gospel was restored solely for you. And as an authorized representative of Jesus Christ, I am here to tell you that you have hope. When you lose everything, when it all just seems too much, when you can't find the strength to take another step, when there's nothing left - I promise to you that you will always still have something because Christ always stays. He will stay with you. He will comfort you. And yes, He will heal you.
There is always hope for those who want it. There's always healing, always peace, always light. It started with a little newborn baby sleeping in a manger, and it continued with a fourteen year old boy praying in the woods, and it can now reach to your heart and all your broken pieces. I testify that these things are true and that Jesus Christ is YOUR Jesus.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
I LOVE you all with my whole heart! Have a great week and message me if you can!
All my love,
Hermana Geary
