Week 19
Mustard seeds that grow

Holaaaa a todos!!
I hope you all have had an AMAZING week! And thank you all so much for all the birthday wishes and updates. I treasure everything you send me! This week was LOCO and so much happened, including transfers and putting 2 of our friends on date for baptism!
But before we get into all that, let's start by turning our minds to the Savior - because He's the whole reason any of this is possible!
Scripture of the week
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends... henceforth I call you not servants...but I have called you friends." John 15:13-15

Let's get into it!
~ Last pday with Hermana Bryner :(
We went to the mall with the other hermanas, went shopping for a while, had lunch, and came back to the apartment to pack her stuff up! I'm gonna miss her so much
But this transfer is going to be so good, and she'll be amazing up in MachalΓ!!!
~ Visited Noelsy and Julian to say goodbye…and it was really bittersweet. Julian didn't understand that he probably wasn't going to see Hna Bryner again. But it was so joyful knowing all the good and all the miracles this family had seen!
Martes ~ No comp & no apartment
~ CAMBIOSSSS today!
We dropped Hna Bryner off in Piduco 7am, and I was in a trio with the other hermanas until Hna Vargas got here! Their bus broke down, so it literally took ALLLL day
But she's so awesome! I'm so excited for this cambio!
~ I accidentally locked both of our keys inside our apartment today…we had to use a ruler to wedge the door open
#classichermanagearymoment
MiΓ©rcoles ~ Viejo verdes y papas
~ So many funny moments today. Here's just a few:
- We were dancing to trumpet music in the street and didn't see that the crosswalk sign was red… and we almost got hit by a bus

- An old man tried to kiss Hermana Vargas

- While we were walking a kid popped up from behind the wall of her front yard and told us that she'd give us a potato if we did the macarena dance. And yes, we danced.

- At lunch, a member was using a massage gun and we all took turns using it. I was WAY too ticklish when Hna Vargas was trying to show me how to use it and everyone was laughing at me

~ I had the WORST headache today - I went to bed early around 9:30 and slept it off

Jueves ~ Healed as they went
~ Had kind of a hard morning, but it ended up being a really really good day!
~ Taught English class today and it was SO FUN!!! We played a game where someone had to close their eyes and everyone else had to give them directions (in English) to lead them through an obstacle course. We were folding over laughing.
It was genuinely so funny I could barely breathe. And they actually got the hang of it really well!

It was genuinely so funny I could barely breathe. And they actually got the hang of it really well! ~ Put our friend Richard on FECHAAA!!!!!

It was actually really tender. Our recent convert, Jorge, bore his testimony about all the blessings he has because of his baptism and why he chose to be baptized in this church, and Richard told us that he wants those blessings too! They're both abuelitos and honestly like best friends
The best thing ever!!!

The best thing ever!!!Viernes ~ “Even when I don't see it, You're working.”

~ More MIRACLESSSS today!! We found 4 super cool people and we put another FECHAAA with our friend Matilda!
We found her last week and she came to church for the first time last Sunday. The lesson was actually genuinely so tender and the Spirit was so strong. We taught her to pray for the first time too, and it was just the most joyful and precious thing getting to hear her pray for the first time in her life! What miracles!!

~ We had a super fun Noche de Juegos!! I'm so grateful for these people

SΓ‘bado ~ Blackout year pt2
~ My cumpleaΓ±os today…it was so fun!!! Everyone made it so hype haha. My comp made me pancakes in the morning (Hna Bryner vibes), the other missionaries sang to me on EVERY call we had, the Hermanas heart attacked our door, the members we had lunch with bought me a cake, and they ended up throwing me a surprise party at Nelly’s house! It was actually crazy haha. Thank you all for your kind messages too - I feel so at home and so loved! Spending my birthday serving the Lord was genuinely the best gift I could've asked for. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
Domingo ~ Grind don't stop

~ SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!! Church was so good today. The talks were amazing. We had 6 friends there, one of whom is the brother of Matilda! He said that he loved it and afterwards he asked us if he could have “that book” that his sister has (the Book of Mormon). God is so good!

~ Today at lunch one of the members was using a fly zapper thing, and when she zapped one of the flies it got flung across the room and went DOWN MY DRESS

The members felt so bad but we were all laughing SO HARD. Genuinely rolling, I could barely breathe

Spiritual thought
“Faith is not only a feeling; it is a decision. With prayer, study, obedience, and covenants, we build and fortify our faith. Then, as we find ourselves in the crucible of life, we have the strength to take the right course.” - Neil L. Anderson
Faith in Jesus Christ, of course, is a belief - a belief that He lives, a belief that He died for us, a belief in all the things we know to be true yet cannot see. But faith is also much more than that - it's an action! It's something we do to draw ourselves closer to Heavenly Father and His love for us.
So I'd like to leave you all with a question that our mission president recently invited us to ponder on: What would be different if you had more faith?
What would you do? How would you feel? What would change? And what would it look like for you to have this type of faith?
I promise that as you ponder in this question and act on it, you will see the power of your faith come to life! You will grow, little by little, and you will come to feel and know the reality of our Savior's love in your life more than you have before!
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen <3
I love you all so much! Have a great week!
All my love,
Hermana Geary
