Week 24

He will never change 

Holaaa everyone!!! 

This week has been so so good and super long haha, and just filled with so many tender mercies! Also, we got CAMBIO NEWSSSS on Sunday so read to the end to hear about it 

But first, and as always, let's start with a scripture! 

 Scripture of the Week  

"Your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:32-33

And now, for my week! 

Lunes ~ Maule out  

~ Another chill pday, went to the Maule mall with the Hermanas and it was honestly so so so fun haha. I'm gonna miss sharing a sector with Hermanas! 

~ While I was on FaceTime with my parents, they told me to try out a dance move…well, I was in my socks on the hardwood floor and faceplanted  I hit my chin pretty hard on the ground and I've had a headache ever since  

But don't worry, I'm all good haha! My mom, right before asking if I was okay, started laughing and lovingly asked me to do it again so she could get it on video  

That's how you know she's a good mom  

Martes ~ Tylenol and district band

~ Good day! We did consejo de distrito this morning - my comp and I won a reto so Elder Frandsen gave us these recorder things (yes, the three of us spent the whole time playing them for our district. And I have to say, I'm quite talented ). We also won cinnamon sticks as a district.   

~ Had a KILLER headache the whole day today. 1000mg of Tylenol every 6 hours was not cutting it lol. I can't tell if I'm getting sick or if I have a concussion from when I fell  

~ Said goodbye to Freddy, one of the members who is leaving tomorrow to serve his mission in Peru. It was actually really sweet - he and his fam invited the four of us over to be the ones to spend his last night with. He's gonna be a miracle in Lima!! 

Miércoles ~ Muerto or just zonked? 

~ Had lunch with Noelsy today!! It was really fun haha. And she joined us in calls afterwards and bore her sweet testimony about her baptism and her family. She's actually the GOAT!!!! 

~ Hna Vargas did referencias for about an hour today while I took a nap  I felt bad about it but my head was hurting so bad. I felt a lot better afterwards and we had a really good evening visiting a bunch of our friends! 

Jueves ~ Perseverar hasta el fin

~ Woke up with a bad cold today. I think the head pain was probably from the sickness developing (I hope ) 

~ This morning we did a service project for an inactive member who needed help painting his fence. It was honestly really fun painting together haha! I'm gonna miss these Hermanas  

~ Super fun clase de inglés! We acted out being different types animals and naming them in English. Even Richard did it haha! 

Viernes ~ Decisions for eternity 

~ Today was really fun! It was a struggle getting myself motivated since I was feeling so rotten but I honestly just felt so much joy as we were out doing the work! 

~ Had lunch with the Cornejo family and said goodbye to them - they were really touched because a lot of missionaries just leave without saying goodbye. It was honestly really sweet to see them so happy! 

~ Noche de juegos!! We did Just Dance and let me tell you, I was working up a SWEAT.  Later we got home and I went to bed at 9:45 lol

Sábado ~ Rise up, Rancagua! 

~ Today I was sooooo tired and just felt really yucky... But once again, the joy stepped in as I went! At times I was praying that God would help me put one foot in front of the other haha, and He did! I love being a missionary! 

~ Got a call from Presidente and Hermana Crump today… I'm gonna be training this next transfer! He told me in my interview a couple weeks ago, but it's honestly crazy to know that it's actually going to happen! I find out my area tomorrow morning and I'll meet my hija on Wednesday!  

It feels like I JUST got out of entrenamiento, so whitewash training my fourth cambio is actually so crazy to me hahaha! It's super exciting and also kinda nerve-wracking. But I'm ready!!! Let's do this!!! 

Domingo ~ Conozco en quien he confiado

THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!!! We received cambio news this morning...     

I'M WHITEWASH TRAINING INTO MACHALÍ!!!! 

Machalí is in the Rancagua zone (2nd northernmost zone in our mission), and it's actually where Hermana Bryner just transferred to last cambio! She's going to Curicó now but she's been giving me a whole bunch of tips. Shoutout to mi madre - you're the best! But I'm so excited! I feel like it literally could not have been a better outcome! 

~ My queen Matilda got her temple recommend today! She's so excited! 

~ It was bittersweet saying goodbye to all the members. We have a good barrio here and I'm sad to be leaving them. But Machalí needs me!!

~ Said goodbye to Matilda today and she gave me a matching necklace, so that I can remember her and she can feel close to me when I'm in my new sector.  I love that girl so much! She's amazing!

 Spiritual Thought  

Today I want to share with you all something that I shared with Matilda this week. She was really sad that I'm leaving, and shes had some other hard circumstances in her life that have left her feeling a little disheartened. And all I could think to share with her was this verse:

 "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee." 3 Nephi 22:10  

Life is rapid. Things change. Hearts break. People leave. And it's uncomfortable at times! Life is full of momentum, and everything is always changing. But there is one thing that will never change: Jesus Christ and His love for you. He is a perfect representative of Heavenly Father, and they both love you with an eternal, everlasting love that can never fade away. Though the mountains might depart - though friends leave, though seasons change, though time goes on, though moments flee before our eyes - He will never depart from us. He will never abandon us.

I invite you all to listen to that feeling in your chest telling you that these things are true. I promise that you will be able to discern the truth as you listen to the Holy Spirit. And I am here to testify to you today of this one, plain, simple, everlastingly most important truth of life: You are loved by your Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ, and His love for you will always stay and will never change, even and especially when everything else in your life does.

I'm able to testify of that because I've seen it for myself this week. I invite you all to pray every night this week that you might be able to feel His love for you more. And I promise, you will receive an answer to your prayer. 

And I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
