Week 29

Week 29 ~ 4 days = 4 years, opposition = miracles 

Buenos días a todos!!!!

This week has been so good! And by week I mean like four days hahaha. But it's been super fun and the Spirit has been so tenderly present in the work.

And now, for the past few days!

Jueves ~ Prayer is key

~ We went to the TEMPLEEEE today!!! Holy cow, it was exactly what I needed. I had so many questions answered and felt Jesus just so so so close to me. 

~ We had pizza afterwards - genuinely the best combination in the world as a missionary is going to the temple, eating BBQ chicken pizza, and talking to your family!  <3

Viernes ~ Opposition = miracles... right? 

~ This whole week we've been having problems with our WhatsApp (which we use to communicate with EVERYONE and lowkey can't do much without it). Since we've been doing referencias, it thinks we're spam bots and now blocks us with every message we send to a new person  We got blocked 3 times today and missed a lesson because of it

~ We've been able to feel so much joy in the work and met a lot of really cool people who want to come to church, in spite of the whole WhatsApp thing haha! 

~ Did a karaoke noche de hogar to celebrate the birthday of a new convert! It was so fun haha!!

Sábado ~ I got paint up my sleeve. 

~ Did a service project painting doors for a retirement community this morning - it was lowkey awesome! The people were so sweet and just had so much gratitude - they even gave us cookies haha!

~ Daniela came finding with us all day today! She gave us a TON of awesome references for people to contact and some of her neighbors that are new in the area. Literally the 

Domingo ~ Planting and plowing  

~ All of us had a ton of people confirm for church today and NONE of them showed up  One guy literally texted us that he was almost to the church and after two hours he never got there 

~ We had a really powerful restoration lesson with one of our friends - we had a completely different plan for the lesson, but she told us that she's always wondered which religion is the "right one" and immediately we both knew what, God wanted us to teach her! 

 Spiritual Thought  

The past couple weeks, I've been thinking a lot about prayer! It's been a crazy week missionary-wise, but my favorite part was getting to kneel down every night and pour out my heart to God, talking to Him about all the things on my heart and mind. And because of that, honestly the hard days on the mission are the same to me as the easier days! I get to share them all with my Father, standing side by side with my Savior, and that's all that matters to me! 

I invite you all to read this talk! It was one of Elder Holland's last talks, and it was right after he had a near-death experience in the hospital...and what did he choose to talk about, above ALL the others topics he could've chosen?? 

PRAYER!!! 

I promise that as you read this and look for the truth, you will find it. You will feel the truth of the divine gift of prayer sink deep into your heart, and you will feel Heavenly Father right by your side.
